1-Minute Gold Line — Momentum Trade

Post by jacktrades »

Gold Line: 9 EMA (yellow/gold) on the 1-minute chart.

Rules

1. Trade when the market is moving

Works best during approximately 9:45–10:45 during volatility/momentum for equities.

Not good during consolidation.

Timing is earlier for Gold and can change based on news.

2. Use the 5-Minute Red Line for trade direction

Trade long only when price is north of the 5-Minute Red Line.

Trade short only when price is south of the 5-Minute Red Line.

3. Gold Line crossover/reset/retrigger

Look for a crossover/reset/retrigger of the 9 EMA with the candles.

A candle needs to open/close past the Gold Line.

4. New recent 60-minute high/low before the pullback

Price should make a new recent 60-minute high or low before the pullback.

Use the 60-period Donchian Channel as the reference.

5. Smooth pullback to the Gold Line

Look for a smooth pullback to the 9 EMA.

The candle on the right should be even to or lower than the candle to the left.

6. Entry

Enter one tick above/below the last closed candle that still pierces the Gold Line.

7. Cancel the trade attempt

If a candle's wick and all opens and closes are on the opposite side of the Gold Line from the trade direction, cancel the trade attempt.

These notes are intended as a reference for those of us already following and trading Bob's strategy.

Please add your own observations, trade examples, charts, or questions below. If you think any of these rules don't accurately reflect how Bob teaches the Gold Line trade, post that as well so we can discuss it.
